The bouquet is a very elegant and complex mélange of cherries, red plums, nutskins, raw cocoa, a beautifully complex base of soil, a touch of the gamebird to come and a gentle top note of crushed violets. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a fine core, lovely transparency, suave tannins (particularly for young Pommard!) and superb length and grip on the bright and youthful finish.
